It is so interesting to read all the different viewpoints presented on this site. I have been researching Primerica for about 6 months now. After weighing the pros and cons my husband and I have decided to go for it. The pros far outweighed the cons, and the only thing holding me back was my fear of what people would think, and all the negetive comments from people who are quick to label it a "pyramid scheme" without any other information backing up it up. I think that that's just what they heard Primerica called by someone else.

What really attracts us to Primerica, aside from the money that can be made, is that we have studied the system, and we really believe it can work. It is a way for us to become financially free and work from home full-time (eventually). The people we have met in Primerica have been good people. They are positive, and have not tried to push into anything we didn't want to do. Sure there is the emphasis on recruiting, because that is the how the business works, that is how everyone makes more money. But when you recruit someone, they have the potential to have great success with the company. Primerica doesn't sell snake oil. Primerica's parent company is Citigroup. Primerica has been in business since 1977, making money, and their representatives have made a lot of money.

That's my response, but I am glad for all the responses from those who feel that it is a scam, because it was those resonses that encouraged me to look VERY deep in what Primerica was all about, before taking the leap.
