I just spent the last 10 days doing it myself. I bought a 1955-1968 TB mini-helmet, took the wing decals off (this hurt me very much, felt like I was defacing the flag), then amateurishly taped off an area that represented the "feather." Then I spray painted the area silver, and removed the tape. Pete Pihos may not approve! I'm no artist, and the end results prove it. Help appreciated.
