Subject: He felt his guilt rising at that, brushing her hair back from her face as he watched her, before offering a slight smile. He could hardly say no... he didn;t want to hurt her any more. "Sure... I went to the bar and had a few drinks, felt sorry for myself... then one of the guys on my team let me crash on his couch" he suprised himself with how easily the lie came out.

She murmured softly, her brow furrowed a touch as she cleared her throat. "You should probably go and spend some time with Jessie, she was missing you a little bit." She smiled lightly, squeezing his hand gently. "I am going to finish up dinner, ok?" She needed a bit of time to sort this all out, think things over and really, he needed to spend some time with his daughter. (NT) -- Ash, 16:46:50 10/06/05 Thu
