The word "intercede" means to come in between. Intercessor is the noun form of the word intercede and in scripture it is used to describe one who comes in between God and the object of His just wrath and judgement.

Prayer is the Christian speaking with God in faith in Jesus Christ. It is "the soul's sincere desire, unuttered or expressed." Various types of prayers are: praise, thanksgiving, petition, supplication, and intercession. Prayer is a sacrifice in which we give our hearts to God, in distinction to a sacrament in which God gives us His grace.

Examples of God's Servants Who Were Intercessors
a) Abraham. Genesis 18:1-33; Amos 3:7; Matthew 5:13
b) Moses. Exodus 32:7-14; Numbers 16:41-48
c) Daniel. Daniel 6:10;9:1-3;9:4-19; Jeremiah 29:10-13:
Isaiah 61:3; Matthew 5:4; II Chronicles 7:14;
d) Esther. Esther 4:11-17;5:1-3

Please post your prayer requests. No request is too big or little. We can help to intercede on someone's behalf because of our relationship with Christ. Proverbs 15:29 says,"The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous." Matthew 18:19 says, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."
