Okay, this is good ... or at least I thought it was (LOLOLOL) ...

My favorite disciple was Paul, formely the Saul (Acts 9) and he was known to tell it like it "T-I-IS"(Bernie Mac). According to my notes in my Life Application Study Bible, 2 Corinthians, written by Paul, was to correct the false teachings in Corinth as well as defend himself. The church of Corinth was weak because all around (just like today) were idolatry and immorality. Christians were struggling with their faith and lifestyle. The false prophets were talking bad about Paul and he had to set the record straight.

I mean just like today we are striving daily to walk in Jesus's footsteps by praying, reading, attending church. We have friends, family, and co-workers who persecute us or challenge what God says even when we come in love. And when we are persecuted (Bible word) or "come at" by Satan's champions (one of my Bishop's messages) they don't have to come speaking in King James Version either --so don't take persecution like in the Bible ..

We find ourselves defending why we don't do this, or why we don't have these conversations .. you know. Or sometimes we don't even have to open our mouth to defend .. we start to feel inferior or insecure because we are uncomfortable with certain convo's or situations .. certain things make us want to move away .. certain people just give us the chills. I learned last Wednesday that these are signs of spiritual maturity.

Well Paul's concerns were with the churches and what they were teaching and it was out of love. And what's so bad is that sometimes the people we deal with go to church too, but they continue to live the same life day after day! Either they don't understand, refuse to change, or the church isn't doing a good job of ministering. But see Paul was upright and practiced what he preached. He could not be accused.. So we can't be telling people not to act this way or do this and do it ourselves which is why we have to be humble cause we aren't perfect ...

So I mean a spade is a spade -- I don't think that's judging but we have to come out of love and be helpful. I mean sometimes we have to speak up as a representative of God. For example, I learned in Fasting and Praying class and at last Wed's Noon bible study at church that if a friend/family member/co-worker wants to talk, as Christians our advice should come from the Holy Spirit, the Word. Not wordly advice and in them coming to us, we can speak out of love and say what God's word says and pray for them/with them. And tell them to pray because they shouldn't be running to us everytime they have a problem. That is what God is for. We sho' can't do anything about it and if they don't want to do what God says -- other than be an ear .. what good are we doing by "being all up in their business for entertainment purposes"? You know how we do sometimes. I'm just keeping it real.

Corinthians 1 & 2 are good ... I was able to form these comments from my bible, bible study, what I've been hearing in church, and from the Holy Spirit enabling to "get it" and make it mine.
