Subject: unrequited love

I'm totally in love with my ex-housemate Clare. We both go to the same university and we had been sharing a house for the last year. We were getting along really well and one night I decided to tell her how I felt about her. She said that she really liked me but that she was happy being single at the moment. At first things were okay, but over the next few weeks she started acting strange around me. Sometimes she would be normal but other times she would look really sad and when I tried to talk to her about things it just seemed to upset her. Also, she kept going mad at me, trying to pick stupid arguments and accusing me of looking at her too much or following her when I bumped into her at university. This just made me feel really bad and I wished I hadn't told her how I felt in the first place. Anyway, a few weeks ago she went home for a week and for some reason I sent her a text message telling her how much I loved her. She went insane and said she was going to move out. I tried calling her after she moved out but she says that she hates me and doesn't want to talk to me at the moment. I feel really guilty about upsetting her but I would really like us to at least be friends as I am so depressed at the moment.
