That has nothing to do with 5 minutes of fame, it's simply been a job. I do believe the only reason the pageant titles were even mentioned was because the editor of the magazine was a judge at state two years ago, and wrote an article based on his experiences. I did not ask nor did I expect him to plug the pageants. Also, I was wearing more in that photo than myself and others wear on the Miss America stage on national television. I was asked to pose in a bikini - and I said no. Everyone has their own concept of respectability, and when I am wearing more than a bikini I don't feel that I have crossed the line. I am sorry you disagree. And by the way, no harm taken, because you are totally entitled to your opinion too! :) To the other poster, I do stay involved because I believe in this program, and what it does for young women. I do like to think I have a life - and a fun one at that! I usually don't post on this board unless it a message related to the Miss IN website, or to defend someone who is being bashed. No one should have to be subjected to what you called "constructive criticism." Your words were simply unkind and unecessary. I am not the moderator of this board, and I do not know who is. If I had some control over it, I would have shut it down a long time ago. Instead, people who care for the volunteers and contestants involved with this program can only keep an eye on the board and try to counterattack any bashing that goes on. It's the best we can do under the circumstances. There are more volunteers and contestants who visit this board than you have probably imagined. I'm just not afraid to sign my name to anything, and I see there are others (Lindsey, Laura, Sara and Carol - good for you) who feel the same way.
