Helmer's rendition of "River Deep Mountain High" was very entertaining. She has excellent stage presence and a rich voice. She looked good in swimsuit and her gown presentation was lovley. Loved the pink one-shouldered gown. Very elegant. She won interview, so she obviously impressed the judges in the interview room and her onstage answers were to the point and well articulated. You can tell that this young woman is very comfortable on the stage. I would expect her to be in Top 5 at the minimum at state. I would also like to see the 3rd runner-up come back in another local. What a beautiful girl she is. I thought she and Helmer would be the last two standing. Many seemed to be surprised by the 1st runner-up. She had a great onstage interview, and looked great in a cutting-edge swimsuit. I would suspect that she did well in interview overall. However, many sitting in my area of the auditorium were surpried by her talent win. Most seemed to be leaning toward Helmer, Ingle or the 3rd runner up for the talent win. I think we will see her again, and I think she will do well. She had a great sense of humor, and came across as natural and comfortable onstage. Laura Warren and Kim Ingle looked fantastic as well, and it is clear that both are working hard and continue to improve with each experience. Loved Laura Warren's new gown. Good luck to all of the ladies who will move on to compete from here. Other than the tabulation delay, the BSU pageant was one of the classiest I've seen in some time. The competition was great!
