I've said it before ladies, but I love Land's End. Almost no one considers them a source for pageant suits, but I think they're a best-kept secret.
When I ordered a suit from them right before a pageant and it wasn't quite what I needed, they rushed me a new suit they thought I might like better, even though it wasn't even going to be in the catalog for awhile yet. They were right: It was just what I needed from what I described I would like to have.
They have one and two pieces and long torso in everything (if you are LT, you know how hard it is to find a suit in the store) and they're famous for suits that don't ride up. The "3" leg height they offer is perfect. Not too showy, not too conservative. You can buy individual pieces instead of getting the same size for top and bottom. The fabric is great, too. You can't see through it, the suits are lined. The quality is great and the styles are always improving. They used to carry just matronly stuff, but now they're awesome. I got a gorgeous red two-piece from there last year I wish they'd had when I was competing.
Swimsuit shopping stinks. Get yourself a Land's End catalog (1-800-963-4816) and forget combing the rack for hours and hours. Spend more time working on the stuff that counts for more of your score!
