I'm finished with this rude and unproductive board. There are thousands of ways to spend my time that are better than reading petty arguments between educated adults who are supposedly supporters of a program designed to encourage the betterment of EVERY facet of a young lady's person. Isn't our common goal to support Miss America and promote its ideals? Ninety percent of the posts I read do exactly the opposite of encouragement and promotion, and that makes me very sad for the program. No wonder we get so much flack from those who do not support Miss America. I suggest those of you who post negatively rethink your words; you are only tarnishing the program.

But who am I to think that my post will change the nature of this board? I know it will not, and that is why I won't be returning.

Best of luck to the many wonderful contestants, and there are many. It is because of you and the hard-working directors that the program grows and thrives. Each of you has the potential to be a positive "agent of change" in all aspects of society, as many already have been.
