Al Pacino will play Jack Kevorkian in the 2010 HBO film 'You Don't Know Jack'

During an interview on WJR this morning, attorney Geoffrey Fieger talked about consulting work he's doing on the upcoming HBO film about the life of Jack Kevorkian, the notorious Michigan assisted-suicide doctor.

According to Fieger, filming for the movie, which will be called "You Don't Know Jack" and is based on a book about the doctor's life, will start in August. The film will likely air sometime in the spring of 2010.

According to ABC News, the movie has been in the making for five years, and, not surprisingly, is already stirring up controversy.

ABC News, July 6: "I am worried that they are going to do the Hollywood take on Kevorkian and turn him into a heroic martyr," said Arthur Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. "The temptation is there -- when you see Al Pacino in the role portraying him as the little guy fighting the system, helping people who are miserable and otherwise would be left to die."

Attorney Geoffrey FiegerFieger was Kevorkian's lawyer in the 1990s, during the height of controversy surrounding his practices. On WJR, he talks about a scene in which Kevorkian approaches him for representation and Fieger decides to take on the case pro bono.

All this leaves a burning question -- who do you think will play Fieger in the movie?
