Subject: Can't win in the upper courts!

1: Why would someone hire Mr. Fieger whom has acknowledged that he can't win in the upper courts? ( i.e. http://www.fansoffieger.com/jjappeal.htm ) Wished I'd known that. I would have hired a different lawyer cause we expected to go all the way, as we did. Don't misunderstand, I truly believe Fieger is a great Trial Lawyer. If I'd have read the aforementioned artical and knew what I later learned, we'd have surely settled. But we wanted to change the world that was looking pretty ugly at that time.

2: I don't understand how Fieger can get high settlements as he does, when I am sure that the lawyers of his opposition, the defendants, also knows he can't win in the upper courts? One would think that this would dramatically impact his bargining power during settlement negotiations.

Fieger once in anger called me "dense" when I questioned him on why we could not win during a meeding at the Michigan Supreme Court. I only wish that I would have known how strongly he felt about that before we turned down Warner's settlement offer in earlier years.

3. Was the notariety that Fieger gained from winning the Jenny Jones wrongful death trial great enough to justify the great expense and efforts to simply win in the lower courts even though he knew he would take a loss later?
