Geoffrey Fieger, an undergrad theater major, is one of the most successful trial attorneys in the country. He has published scholarly articles on the law and is constantly in demand as an expert analyst for high-profile media trials. His charismatic and controversial personality made him an instant star of the CBS radio program, “Fiegertime,” and he appears almost daily on CNN, Fox, MSNBC and other networks commenting on various legal issues and cases. After two decades of passionately practicing law, Fieger is best known for winning trials. He has won more multimillion-dollar awards than any other attorney in the country, including his very first trial in 1980. Some of these trials include the defense of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, the “Jenny Jones Show” trial, and the defense of Nathanial Abraham. He has won record verdicts in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Many of these trials have generated national attention and set important legal precedents.
The package to be auctioned includes: The suit, shirt, tie and tie clip worn by Geoffrey Fieger as JUROR EIGHT in the production of ’12 Angry Men’. It also includes the following items, which will all be personally signed to the purchaser by Geoffrey Fieger: an 8 x 10 Composite photo of the actors and scenes from the as well as an 8 x 10 photo of Geoffrey Fieger on stage, wearing his costume from the show, also by photographer Don Martel and a show program from the 2008 Legal Benefit for ATW.
Fieger played Juror EIGHT, originally played by Henry Fonda, in the benefit performance of 12 Angry Men on February 15, 2008 at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts in the Chrysler Theatre. “I sought out Mr. Fieger because I believe he is a man of passion and intuition with a very personal approach and style,” said el Baroudi, who directed the production. “Each actor who takes on this part is challenged to bring the character to life with the specter of Henry Fonda’s classic interpretation hanging over their shoulder. Reviews like ‘Henry Fonda played this role with under-stated brilliance’ meant it was crucial to find an actor who would be undaunted by the classic film performance and be ready to bring their own style to the part, while staying true to the integrity of the character. And Mr. Fieger did not disappoint, he gave a stellar performances in this very challenging role, to a very appreciative audience.”
Actors Theatre of Windsor (ATW) – a not-for-profit professional theatre company, co-founded by Ms. el Baroudi with her husband, Actor Gord Mackenzie to develop a full-scale, regional, professional theatre company in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, has the mandate to produce a professional season of theatrical shows, coupled with a community outreach program, which will produce The 2008 Windsor Fringe, and which encourages collaboration between artists and social justice organizations to raise both awareness and initiate community discussion through artistic expression on both sides of the Detroit River.

The event benefited the Windsor International Fringe, the Independent Legal Representation for Victims of Sexual Assault, project at the SACC, who co-produced the event, as well as The Faculty of Law and the Centre for Studies in Social Justice at the University of Windsor.
“The ATW Board of Directors, Mona and I are honored that Geoffrey Fieger and the team of participating lawyers from both sides of the border, contributed their time and energy in support of artists and to further arts & culture industry. The time to diversify and grow our economies on both sides of border is now, and this benefit performance highlighted the value of artists partnering with business to grow a regional entertainment industry.” said Gord Mackenzie ATW Co-founder and board member. “The opportunity to support the SACC Independent Legal Representation for Victims of Sexual Assault project, as well as the Social Justice programs at the Faculty of Law and the Centre for Studies in Social Justice at the University of Windsor, broadened the impact of the lawyers’ contribution to our region and making participation in the project that much more rewarding.”
The entire Cast of 12 Angry Men included the following lawyers: Jay Armeland, Robert N. Brown, Kenneth W. Golish, Peter Hrastovec, Ken Marley, David McNevin, Karen Momotiuk, Frank Montello, Howard Pawley Larrry Wilson, supported by professional actors Jay Gale and Gordon Mackenzie
About Actors Theatre of Windsor (ATW): The ATW Mission statement is four fold: to foster, produce and present a repertoire from the full-range of theatrical literature, from new plays, to accessible and illuminating productions of classical texts; to support the creative development and risk taking of both established and emerging theatre artists; to be a leader in identifying synergies and process improvements to optimize resources for the production of theatre in Canada South, in the spirit of community and collaboration; and, to be a catalyst for the exploration and development of networks for the presentation of theatre in South Western Ontario and South Eastern Michigan regions and beyond.
