I don't disagree with you that Terri can't be helped,it just doesn't matter if she can be helped or not. Her parents don't see her the way you do. Unfortunately some specialists have told her parents that there is hope for *some* rehabilitation. Couple that with the fact that she has had no therapy for years, her parents must be in agony thinking that there are things that could be done for their child but they aren't allowed to help her. When they visit Terri, they see what they want to see. For them, hope springs eternal, I totally understand that. I just don't know how to explain it to you. These are parents, we would give our lives for our children, these poor people aren't allowed to even try and help their daughter.

As far as the government having a say in this, the only thing I find more appalling than that, is that more people aren't outraged by it. Pat
