I am a law school graduate and a registered nurse who was terminated for preventing a youth at a detention facility from committing suicide. the superintendant was so abusive but I stuck to my guns even though EMS nor the police who i called refused to help me. I called the state, went on the news, i was fired even though they deny it. but you know what? i can sleep at night because i cared. the youth actually tried to hang himself three times but a code white was only called once on the loud speaker. since then another child in florida was beaten to death with a nurse standing by and watching. CHAMPIONS WALK ALONE, AND LOSERS ALWAYS HAVE A CROWD. this nurse is doing the right thing. it will be hard for her to get a job as a nurse again. but she'll be able to sleep and live with her actions. by the way I reported all this information to the state abuse hotline since i was a first responder and surprise all the records vanished.
