Author: Buckwheat [Edit] | Date Posted: 10:19:50 04/30/05 Sat I fished the shoreline near the south end tonight after 7pm. One 18.5" eye with lots of fat in him. The water is gin clear along the shoreline. |

Author: No Fish [Edit] | Date Posted: 03:45:57 04/29/05 Fri Fished West Shore reefs and nothing but a huge sheephead. Things must get better. Not many boats out. |
| Subject: Fishing report | |
Author: TurnaBoat [Edit] | Date Posted: 20:36:03 04/28/05 Thu Brother and I gave it a shot this afternoon (4-8) We fished the East side off of Fishermans road. Tried some reefs in that area then went across to Abraham, Jabers and Sonnebergs reefs. Got nada, nothing and zip except for some dandy sheephead. Oh well, a poor day of fishin still beats a good day at work. Surface temps were 48 degrees. I've been warmer ice fishing. |

| Subject: Response to brays point | |
Author: Jeff Sloshkosh [Edit] | Date Posted: 20:47:34 04/23/05 Sat I was trolling the countdown in 5 feet of water. I didnt have the trolling rods out so I just gave them an average cast and then let the line roll out for about 5 seconds. No weights or anything. 10 lb mono of both rods and that got them to the bottom quick enough. I would guess I had out about 75 feet roughly. Everything I caught was on the river side not far from the lighthouse and and big white dock. |

Author: Joe [Edit] | Date Posted: 16:48:44 04/23/05 Sat How deep were you trolling htose count downs? Any weight on them? I tried to fish this morning but that wind was just too much. |
| Subject: Brays Point | |
Author: Jeffrey J Sloshkosh [Edit] | Date Posted: 14:17:27 04/22/05 Fri Tried to troll around brays last night. 4 sheephead and 2 walleyes. 18 and 13 inches. Couldnt pick up anything in firetiger or brighter patterns. Put on a black and white countdown and then the fun began. Water was 59 at the mouth in 5 feet of water. Away from shore it was down to 53 in 14 ft. |

Author: Lar [Edit] | Date Posted: 11:54:50 04/22/05 Fri Fishing upriver from town. 4-8pm. Got 3 walleyes on the first drift. Had to work for the last two. All males 13"-18". Crawlers took 4 of the 5. 2 cats, sheeps and rockies caught. |
| Subject: eyes | |
Author: moose1 [Edit] | Date Posted: 09:39:20 04/22/05 Fri kept 5 eyes last night, biggest 19.5" smallest 16.25" all on leeches under slip bobbers. 7-10 FOW right off bottom. What a beautiful night. Tried casting crankbaits but got lazy and put out a 3rd slip bobber after about 15 minutes. |
| Subject: Winnebago Walleyes | |
Author: MAc-addict [Edit] | Date Posted: 10:33:34 04/20/05 Wed Monday and Tuesday fishing Asylum Reef, 8 fish Monday and 3 fish Tuesday biggest was a 21 inch male. Fish were all caught on 3/16 . 1/4 or 3/8 ounces jigs depending on the wind but all fish were right on top of the reef in 4 to 5 feet of water. Lots of sheephead and a couple large White bass. White bass seem like it will be a week or two before they spawn. Roe is pretty hard yet. Minnows work but crawlers also worked. Nothing on leeches except Sheephead. tried the inner bay and got bitten off by a large northern. A slow retrieve worked best on the reef for walleyes, a bobber with a jig beneath it and using the slow retrieve was the hot setup and saved a lot of snags. |
| Subject: Walleyes | |
Author: BagoWalleyeGuy [Edit] | Date Posted: 18:08:43 04/19/05 Tue Reports are coming in that the mouth of the Fox is hot, along with the reefs in that area, slip bobbering the reefs with leeches and crawlers seem to be doing the trick. Keep the reports coming guys! Remeber to release the big girls and fry up the good eaters! |

Author: JW [Edit] | Date Posted: 12:43:02 04/18/05 Mon Fished both, really slow for us, but got 5 males and one 13.25" crappie. Was very slow, but had a nice meal of walleye Sunday night and fed the family. Wife is now a huge fan of walleye fishing, but still can't tell bottom from a walleye yet. Actually funny when she has one on. Tried to shake off what ended out to be a 28.5" walleye last year. Yes, it's still swimming,(released it) and she still brings that up. She's learning though. |

Saw about 6 others caught by all other boats, and I watch. All were males caught that I saw. They come in bunches if they come at all. Middle of the day fishing, left at 4pm, put in 3 hours. |

Author: Moose1 [Edit] | Date Posted: 09:57:54 04/15/05 Fri Out last night with my son near the clay banks. Still a bit early but I was hoping to get lucky. Water is very clear so I wasn't expecting much until the sun went down. I had to split just as the sun was setting because my son decided to take a swim in the minnow bucket so we ended up with nada. |

Author: JW [Edit] | Date Posted: 07:25:33 04/11/05 Mon Fished LBDM this weekend, (LOTS of boats, esp. by the bridge). Fished 8 hours (4 Sat, 4 Sun) not a bite. Out of the hundred boats I saw 8 caught between both days, most were bigger ones. Very slow, but I loved it, was great to get out on the water. And that's my main goal anyway, fish will come. Made it back in time to see the Masters final. I don't miss the Masters last day. GREAT golf. |
| Subject: Bago Lake flies | |
Author: Buckwheat [Edit] | Date Posted: 20:00:27 04/10/05 Sun We have a pretty good lake fly hatch going on this weekend!! They look different in size and color than the flies we use to see but at least we have a hatch. The most I have seen in 4 years. They are early, not supposed to be here until Mother's day weekend. I have lived on the west shore for 14 years. Also had one 50 " sturgeon wash up yesterday. Had a tag in it's fin, didn't look like he had any holes in him. Pier and boat lifts are in. Need to get the boat ready next. |
| Subject: Sunset Point | |
Author: mitchb [Edit] | Date Posted: 19:47:33 04/10/05 Sun Fish are being caught on Sunset Point in 3 to 6 feet of water on SMALL jigs with a minnow. Slip bobbers are catching fish as well. The Problem is that the fish are mostly large females spawned out. Not great for the deep fryer, but fun to catch. I fished last Thursday evening and Saturday evening and boated 3 fish and saw another 25 fish caught. |

| Subject: Northeast Shore Winnebago | |
Author: macgeek [Edit] | Date Posted: 15:09:22 04/09/05 Sat Fished North shore spawing reefs, out from North Shore Golf course. Nothing water temp 39.5 to 40.5. tried the east shore from the clay banks south on a couple small reefs with slip bobbers , 1/8 and 1/ 4 oz jigs drifting and anchoring the edges of the reefs. No hits, nothing. About a dozen people fishing in the marina at High Cliff for Crappie and perch but only saw one white bass caught and most everyone leaving empty handed. We could use some rain if anyone has connections. I'll try again Tuesday or wednesday hopping the water warms a bit. |

| Subject: Fox River | |
Author: Jack [Edit] | Date Posted: 16:07:41 04/03/05 Sun The Fox River in Oshkosh was really crowded this past weekend. Water temps was 40.5 degrees. Counted 92 boats from the landing downstream to the cable crossing. One fellow said he went to Winneconnie first and could not even put his boat in, there wasn't any room. The water under the bridge on 41 was also crowded with lots of boats. The fish were biting though if you had the right set up and technique. Some boats were slip jigging, some were anchored, both methods seem to be working. |

| Subject: Fishing report, Blackwolf/Littlepoint area | |
Author: TurnaBoat [Edit] | Date Posted: 09:45:21 10/06/04 Wed I fished the West Shore reefs off of the Blackwolf/Little Point area this morning. One walleye, one smallmouth and two got off before I could identify them. I was using an orange jig on one pole and chartreuse on the other. Soaked one over the side and jigged the other. Moved around allot. Just couldn't get anything going. The walleye came off Longpoint reef but it was too rough out there for my taste so I didn't fish it very long. |
