Date Posted: 13:48:06 06/06/05 Mon Sorry for the late report, but I just got home last night sometime. I fished Thrus, Fri, and Sat this past weekend. Did very well. Thrusday my partner and I got 10 walleye trolling in the mud. We fished from 11-3:30 They were all 15.5-22 inches. Missed a lot of nice fish too.... they didnt seem to want the bait. You would get the fish halway to the boat to get the board off, and they would come off. Only caught 2 sheeps all day. Walleyes were high in the water column. Friday we set out looking for some larger fish and we found them. We started about 10:30 and had our 10 fish by 3:30. The fish were feeding in the top 7ft in this spot as well. We combined the weight of our 6 biggest fish and it came to 21lbs. We had two 25's, three other fish over 20, and one 19 incher. The other fish we kept to eat were from 14.5-17. Very nice day to be out on the water. Saturday we were in a tournament and didn't do too well. We had 8.78lbs for six fish. We couldnt get any big fish for some reason. Very frustrating. We trolled the same spot we fished Friday and couldnt keep the sheeps off of the line. If we would have had a repeat of Friday we would have taken 2nd place. O well, maybe next year. Will be going up again Thursday or Friday and will be fishing all next week. I will report when I return. Good luck. Brett PS. The next Lighthouse Anglers club meeting will be June 12th at 7PM in the Fond du Lac American Legion building. Come check it out. You do NOT have to be a member to check out a meeting. I will be there if you want to chat. Email me, or check out www.lighthouseanglers.com for some more info. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
