I'm the owner of Val's Bait and Tackle, and not used to posting. However, in defense of the lack of reports, this summer's heat, dryness and bug hatches have truly made the walleye bite tough. You can tell that by the weigh-in's at the tourneys. I've been in business for 3 yrs now and this was the first summer I've seen this type of slow down. Lake MI, fortunately, has been doing extremly well. Hang in there and hopefully we'll see an upswing on the action as the Sept cool down begins. And then there's always ice!!! One successful report yesterday-dragging a floating jig in tight (6 ft) against the east shoreline near County Park produced for one angler 2 days in a row. Val
