The Prince of Persia:
Jason Baile
Jason Baile came on the scene ten years ago as a naïve, green, and young nineteen-year-old. Many of us remember him as the brother-in-the-shadows. After all, he was put in the shadows by his beautiful and talented sister, Shanna Baile. However, at the age of twenty-one, Jason finally found his calling.
Producers at Hope Harbour Production Company in Hope Harbor, Hollywood, contacted Jason to star in their new movie based on a beloved high-tech video game set in a supernatural Persia. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was Jason’s first movie and first leading role in a film. Within its first weekend, the film grossed more than eighty million dollars.
Three years later, the sequel, Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within, was completed and released into major theatres across the world. Jason was starting to be known as ‘the Prince’. His once innocent character now took on more revealing love scenes and a more gruesome and violent heart. The film even ruined his engagement to former pop-star Georgia Lucus. Jason has never once looked back.
Now, as the third and final installment in the trilogy nears release, Jason sits down with us here at Entertainment News Now to chat about the movie, his co-stars, and maybe even life after Persia.
NOAH: Hello, Jason, how are you?
JASON: I am great, thank you. And you?
NOAH: Wonderful. Now, you have witnessed great success with your two films The Sands of Time and The Warrior Within. Would you say you also have high hopes for this third and final installment of the series?
JASON: *nods* Defiantly. The two films made so much money within the first two weeks, it is hard to assume that this film will be any different. Not to mention a lot of the older characters find there way back into the movie. Characters from Sands and The Warrior Within.
NOAH: Can you tell us some of the characters that will appear in the film this time?
JASON: Well, the hated-yet-loved Kaileena will return. Her voice will last longer than her body, however. *grins* The beloved Farah, the Prince’s love interest, will return. However, it is a bittersweet love. As we all know the Prince reversed time in the first film, when Farah died, therefore nothing they did actually happened in her mind. Farah doesn’t know him. The Old Man appears once again as well as Vizier.
NOAH: Are the same actors and actresses used for this film as the first and second ?
JASON: I do know that Kaileena will now be played by Mia Schwartzkopf and Farah will be played by Sara {MacKeane} Amberly. The Old Man and Vizier remain the same, however.
NOAH: Would you say that the past eight years of your life have been ‘wasted’ on this film trilogy?
JASON: ‘Wasted’ is quite a dramatic word to use. I would say, spent. I have spent a major part of these past eight years on these films. It is well worth it. I may not have a wife or children, but I am a young lad still. There is time for that.
NOAH: Would you blame your career for the awful breakup that happened between yourself and Georgia {Lucus}?
JASON: Yes, I would. However, I also blame Georgia for not being patient enough. I was away on these films. I was pretending to make love to these women and pretending to be a reckless, ruthless murderer. *laughs* That wasn’t me. She, I suppose, just became awfully angry that she had to deal with the rejection and pain that I had to when she was grinding with her male dancers. It wasn’t anything I was doing out of spite.
NOAH: It sounds like you may have said that out of spite.
JASON: Oh, *laughs* I am, I am. Georgia and I are not on stable terms at the moment. At least, I don’t think we are. We haven’t spoken in two years.
NOAH: I wouldn’t say you were on good terms. *laughs*
JASON: *laughs*
NOAH: Do you get romantic with either Mia or Sara in the film?
JASON: *grin* I will let that be my little secret.
NOAH: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about these films?
JASON: Well, my favorite is the locations. We are privileged to film in these actual Persian castle replicas and it is amazingly beautiful. However, at the end of shooting when everything is falling apart, so does the castle. *laughs* That’s not my least favorite thing, nevertheless. I am not crazy about letting my hair grow to my shoulders each filming period. I have become attached to my short locks.
NOAH: *laughs* Do many of the other actors and actresses need to change their looks as well?
JASON: Hm, I think that Mia had to dye her hair a bit darker. She had to be pale and wear this amazingly dark eye makeup and rouge. Sara, I know, had to really grow her hair out and wear brown contacts. She didn’t really have to do much else. She does look a lot like Farah. A new character, The Dark Prince, he was completely made up. Everything but the eyes, I’m told.
NOAH: The Dark Prince?
JASON: Yes, in the entrance of the film something happens involving the Sands of Time. The Prince is possessed by the Dark Prince whom takes over his own body during different points of the film and embodies his own negative qualities. Scott Sayers does a phenomenal job playing the Dark Prince.
NOAH: Are there any movies you are signed on to after this ends?
JASON: At the moment, I am signed to a remake of ‘The Notebook’ which is to become an open-cast movie soon. I am also looking into a new film titled ‘Shakespeare’. So, I am pretty set with my films at the moment.
NOAH: Now back to the other components of your life. Are you looking for love at the moment?
JASON: I would really like to meet a woman, yes. Yet, not many women out there are good enough or close enough to my type. I am rather a picky man.
NOAH: What sort of woman, would you say, is your type?
JASON: I do not want a bubblegum, Barbie doll girlfriend. No, wife. I want a classy woman whom I can show off and be proud; not sheltering behind some tall man because she may think that my movies are real or that cheerleaders rule the world. *laughs* It’s a bit extreme, but I wish to be careful.
NOAH: *laughs* We wish you luck on your film and the ones you have in the future, Mr. Baile!
JASON: Why, thank you Mr. Byington. *grin* It was a pleasure.
Next Week: Titanic star, Gabriel McShane or Babylon star Cody Hampton. YOU CHOOSE!
