EXT. L.A STREETS 2 – NIGHT.
ANGEL and BUFFY lead a gang of a half dozen slayers through the rainy streets. Buildings are smashed and wires are sparking.
ANGEL
Another Sunny day in L.A
BUFFY
Kind of glad I moved from California
ANGEL
How’s Rome working out for you?
BUFFY
It’s… different. Different is good.
ANGEL

(pause)
How’s Dawn?
BUFFY
What were you going to say?
ANGEL
Nothing.
BUFFY

ANGEL
I’m seeing someone.
BUFFY
(stopping)

ANGEL

BUFFY

Buffy and Angel turn around to see a familiar face – now slightly disfigured.
HAMILTON
Hello Mr. Angel
FADE TO BLACK.
EXT. L.A STREET 2 – NIGHT.
Hamilton throws the dead slayer to the ground and takes a step forward, his neck out of place and covered in blood.
BUFFY
He’s better dressed than Caleb
ANGEL
He’s also a lot stronger, seeing as I already killed him.
HAMILTON
You think you’re little back up team is going to help you win this war? You created this world you live in. You signed that deal.
ANGEL
I created this world?
Buffy looks at Angel
ANGEL
(to Buffy)
I think I just had an epiphany
BUFFY
(rolls eyes)
ANGEL launches at Hamilton
CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION 2 – NIGHT.
Faith comes down the stairs towards Gunn who’s putting his shirt back on.
FAITH
Always liked a man with scars
GUNN
Got one too many
FAITH
How’s it holdin’ up there Charlie?
GUNN raises his brow to Faith’s cheeky grin
FAITH
Seriously
GUNN
I’m alive if that’s what you mean
FAITH
Here’s me thinkin’ Rona has been at the testosterone pills
Gunn sits down, head in his hands as Faith joins him.
GUNN
You know how long I’ve been doin’ this thing?
Since I was a kid.
FAITH
Like six?
GUNN
Like sixteen. Man, that’s nearly a decade
FAITH
I don’t think we need to get out the zimoframe just yet, Gunn.
GUNN
How long have you been a slayer?
FAITH
About six years, of course two and half were in prison and eight months were in a coma, so… not all that long.
GUNN
When did you finally accept your destiny?
FAITH
I… I’m not sure I have. Last Summer. When Sunnydale collapsed, that’s when I started to see why I was Chosen.
GUNN
It’s hitting me now. SO many times this last year I’ve wanted to leave it all behind, but after tonight – living through the end. I just know that’s what I’ve gotta do
SPIKE (O.S)
Let’s do it then
They turn to a limping Spike who’s pulling his jacket on as he comes down the stairs
SPIKE
No point nancying around here when there’s evil to be crunched.
Gunn and Faith stare at each other before smiling at Spike.
CUT TO.
INT. WOLFRAM AND HART 1 – NIGHT.
Connor leaps up against a pillar and spin kicks into a demons face, falling down as he lands
FLASH TO WHITE
The Beast throws Connor into a pillar and it collapses around him
FLASH TO WHITE
Connor looks up in anger and stands to his feet, another of the demons goes for him with a sword, he ducks but catches his arm.
He grabs it pain, looking up as a vamped out Harmony leaps on to the demons back and snaps it's neck.
CONNOR
Cool
HARMONY

CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION 1 – NIGHT.
Wesley and Willow are scrolling at super speed through the books Wesley had left at the hotel.
WESLEY
It’s useless
WILLOW
Where’s is this building? Maybe we could feel some kind of…
She’s cut off as an extremely broken demon comes flying off the balcony. Illyria storms up to the edge, glares at the demon and jumps down.
ILLYRIA
More shall rise.
WESLEY
Illyria?
ILLYRIA
The Wolf, Ram and Hart. They must know of our attempts – they are sending in army’s from this world.
WESLEY
We need to get back to Connor
WILLOW
STILL!!!
Wesley looks confused as does Illyria, they both turn towards the door way where four sworded demons have been frozen in mid-run
WILLOW
That won’t hold long, come on!
They grab supplies they need and rush out the back entrance, via the alley.
Illyria doesn’t move.
As they leave the alley the image fades to that same alley in the other dimension, with the dead dragon and the demon bodies.
Across town…
ANGEL
That was rude!
Angel scampers up off the floor and charges at Hamilton again. Knocking him to the floor.
Hamilton smashes his fist against the floor and sends a ripple down the entire street.
BUFFY
This can’t be good.
ANGEL
(quietly)
It’s us. We. Always. Win
Buffy nods at Angel as they both charge at Hamilton. A flash of light sheets across the clouds before lightning hits the ground between Buffy and Angel, splitting it.
Buffy is on one side of the street with the slayers. Angel is on the otherside with Hamilton. The gap is too wide for anyone to jump and live.
HAMILTON
Well, wasn’t that a pleasant surprise.
Buffy stares across in horror as Hamilton lifts Angel by his neck.
BUFFY
ANGEL!!!
CUT TO.
EXT. WOLFRAM & HART 1 – NIGHT.
Willow and Wes arrive as Harmony is tossed out of a window.
WILLOW
Harmony? You’re…one of them now?
HARMONY
Willow! You changed your hair! Bad move. It was cute all short and flicky.
WESLEY
Harmony what’s going on?
HARMONY
Oh we’re being beat on by a bunch of…actually your hair is kinda cute
WESLEY
Harmony!
HARMONY
Demons
WESLEY
Connor’s in there?
HARMONY
Ya-ha
WESLEY
Willow, do the spell. Harmony come with me
HARMONY
Where’s Illyria?
WESLEY
Fighting her own demons
CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION 1 – NIGHT.
Illyria stares impatiently as she waits for the demons to unfreeze. As they do she grabs two of the chargers by the neck and crunches them on the spot.
She turns to the other’s
ILLYRIA
I wish to see your blood.
She stares around as more come flooding out from the upstairs she stares up at them. The demons begin to leap off too…
INT. HYPERION 2 – NIGHT
Gunn, Faith and Spike
SPIKE
Jesus, If I’d have known we were staying in I wouldn’t have done my hair!
Spike cracks his fist into one of them the demons faces – another comes behind him with a sword. It’s greeted by Gunn spinning an axe into it’s arm and removing it
GUNN
That’s getting to be my new party trick
FAITH
Party later, fight now Charlie
GUNN
(to Spike)
My kinda girl
SPIKE
Wait til she gives you the champagne talk
CUT TO.
INT. WOLFRAM & HART 1 – NIGHT.
Wesley helps Connor up as he holds a steaming gun. A demon lies on the floor with half it’s head removed.
CONNOR
Thanks
WESLEY
Don’t mention it
Wesley begins to walk away
CONNOR
Where are you going?
WESLEY
To kill the demons on the next floor.
Harmony rolls her eyes and drags her feet as she walks to the elevator. Connor stares for a moment before following.
CONNOR
What about her?
Connor points to Willow who’s setting out stones in a circle.
WESLEY
She may be about to end the world.
CONNOR
Oh.
The doors close on them as they all stare blankly forward
INT. ELEVATOR
HARMONY
Wesley, do you think they’re still alive?
WESLEY
I’d be amazed if they are. But I won’t stop until I know for sure.
HARMONY
If I don’t make it then… I’m sorry for ruining everything.
WESLEY
No you’re not
HARMONY
I am! Honest. I know I don’t have a soul but, you guys were still like the closest thing I had to friends and for what it’s worth, when I was, it was great being part of the right team.
WESLEY
Thank you.
CONNOR
Dude not to make a deal but we’ve been travelling for a while, maybe it wasn’t such a great idea that you pressed like 4 buttons.
HARMONY
What? Let me out
CONNOR
What’s going on?
HARMONY
Wesley you’re crazy! The White room isn’t multi dimensional – whatever happens there will happen here too.
CONNOR
What’s the white room?
They look around as the room becomes nothing but white.
WESLEY
This is the white room.
FRED (O.S)
Wesley… Do you think it’s such a good idea, you being here?
WESLEY
We need to find Angel.
FRED
Angel’s been bad, we can’t help you get him back, we could let you try. Of course you’d die for real this time.
HARMONY
Wes, don’t
WESLEY
Take me through – take me to L.A
FRED
Whatever you say my sweet Wesley
WESLEY
If either of you two are coming with me. Come now.
Connor and Harmony look at each other before following Wesley back into the elevator.
WESLEY
Next stop…
They stand silently in the elevator as the doors ping open. They step out of the elevator by Harmony’s now crushed desk.
Most of the building has collapsed.
CONNOR
Why are we here?
Wesley looks up to the ceiling then over to the door. He holds a small red crystal in his hand.
WESLEY
We’re here to fail.
HARMONY
Fail?
WESLEY
Wolfram & Hart believe we’ll fall into their trap. We’re here to fail at doing that.
Connor smiles at Wesley as they head for the exit of the building.
CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION 1 – NIGHT.
Illyria is stood amidst dozens of dead bodies – blood trickles down her face as she looks around at the emptiness of the building.
ILLYRIA
This world has different rules.
She raises her hand in front of her face, examining it before striking it into the air, a portal opens and stays open behind her.
CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION 2 – NIGHT.
Spike, Faith and Gunn are out numbered as suddenly, everything comes to a stand still when Illyria comes tearing out of a portal.
ILLYRIA
My powers do not stand in this world. You must leave with me now.
GUNN
I’m not leaving the others
ILLYRIA
They need you not. Wesley and the Goddess have designed the web.
SPIKE
Goddess?
FAITH
We need to talk about Will.
ILLYRIA
You must leave now or your chance will be missed. The gateway is not strong enough to hold.
They look at each other for a second before leaping through the portal. Illyria looks around and unfreezes the demons before leaving through the portal.
As it closes behind her, blue ripples tear our from it, across the city. Clocks move back and forth at double speed and blue flashes (time portals) flicker around the air for a matter of seconds.
EXT. L.A STREET 1 – NIGHT.
Angel now has Hamilton by the neck.
ANGEL
I have no Idea what just happened there but I’m thinking someone’s on my side.
He throws Hamilton into the gap in the street, falling further and further down.
WESLEY (O.S)
Angel…
Buffy and Angel flick their heads up to see Connor, Wesley and Harmony stood at the top of a building.
WESLEY
We don’t have much time.
Angel looks across to a slightly shaken Buffy and holds his hand out
ANGEL
Jump.
CUT TO.
INT. WOLFRAM & HART 2 – NIGHT.
WES, ANGEL, CONNOR, BUFFY & HARMONY stand with a handful of slayers in the lobby.
ANGEL
Wow. They’ve already started rebuilding the place.
(to Wes)
How long was I gone?
WESLEY
There’s not time for small talk. This world we’ve been in for the past year, it’s not real! You have to work here of be invited to enter…
BUFFY
That ass!
Everyone stares at Buffy.
BUFFY
The Immortal… he’s an ass.
(looking around)
You know for sending me… never mind. Continue.
WESLEY
I was killed here as was Illyria. We both found ourselves back at the Hyperion Hotel – as we left it a year ago.
ANGEL
Connor – did you… did you die?
CONNOR
No, it’s a long story. We’ll have a coffee meeting.
ANGEL
Wait does that mean… Cordy?
WESLEY
No. Cordelia’s death had already begun before the deal – she was never invited into the firm. I’m sorry
ANGEL
But Fred…
WESLEY
I believe she’s out there.
BUFFY
I don’t understand – how are we… not dead in here. I mean aren’t these big scaries after you?
ANGEL
Wes?
WESLEY
Connor, Harmony, it’s time for us to leave now
ANGEL
What?
WESLEY
Willow’s working on a spell to ensure this works
ANGEL
Ensure what works?
WESLEY
I’m sorry
BUFFY
Wesley what are you talking about?
WESLEY
Like I said, unless your contract has been terminated or your invite no longer stands. You have to die to leave here.
Wesley, Connor and Harmony step into the elevator again, Angel runs towards the doors as they close
ANGEL
This has gotta be a trick! This has to be Wolfram & Hart!
BUFFY
We need to get out of here
INT. ELEVATOR
Wes, Harm and Connor step out of the elevator and back into the old building where Willow is surrounded by bright white lights.
WESLEY
It’s going to work.
CUT TO.
INT. WOLFRAM & HART 2
Buffy and Angel look at each other, scared, slayers are pulling and kicking doors trying to open them
They stare for ages, leaning in for one last kiss…stopping half way
CUT TO.
EXT. WOLFRAM & HART 2
Silence outside. The building goes up in a HUGE ball of flames. Glass, brick and wood shattering everywhere.
CUT TO.
INT. WOLFRAM & HART 2
Buffy and Angels lips get closer as a ball of fire comes tearing through the room and through them.
FLASH TO WHITE.
INT. WOLFRAM & HART 1 – NIGHT.
Buffy and Angel pull away from each others kiss as they turn to see an exhausted Willow coming down. Wesley, Connor and Harmony staring back at them and several extremely confused slayers.
CUT TO.
INT. HYPERION HOTEL – NIGHT.
ANGEL, WES, WILLOW, BUFFY, CONNOR and HARMONY come rushing through the doors. Immediately greeted by Illyria, Faith and Gunn.
ANGEL
You’re alive
GUNN
Y’all know it takes more than an apocalypse to keep this team down
FAITH
Nice hair ‘B
BUFFY
I just got blown up, I think my hair can be excused.
(fingers hair)
My god it’s huge
Connor is stood in the corner as everyone says their “congratulations” and “thank you’s”
ANGEL
You came back again
CONNOR
I wasn’t buying this “they can’t destroy me” crap. I knew that as soon as you were out of the picture they’d be at my house.
(pause)
I don’t want **any** of my family getting hurt so I came to them.
ANGEL
Like one of the team
CONNOR
Someday, maybe.
ANGEL
Take care of yourself Connor.
CONNOR
You too
(pause)
Angel.
Connor walks to the door. Angels non-beating heart still aches as he walks away
CONNOR
Oh and… just because I don’t call you dad. Doesn’t mean you can’t buy me a car.
They smile at each other as he continues to walk away.
Angel rejoins the group.
ANGEL
That’s some serious investigating you did there Wes
WESLEY
It’s surprising what’s right under your nose. The things you think to grab before you go into your final battle.
Wesley taps his jacket and pulls out “The” book. Angel gives him a sly smile which is returned with a smile and a nod.
WESLEY
(to Spike)
What I don’t understand is how you all got back
SPIKE
Thank blue thunder. Seems her mojo isn’t that no-go in this dimension.
Wesley smiles at Illyria who is staring, slightly arched.
WESLEY
Thank you.
Illyria doesn’t say anything she stares back at him and walks upstairs.
ANGEL
Would that have anything to do with the crazy 3 seconds of time swapping?
WESLEY
I think it’s entirely likely.
GUNN
I dunno about anyone else but I could marry a burger king right now
FAITH
Not gonna argue with that, you comin’ B?
Buffy looks at Spike and Angel and smiles.
BUFFY
I’m coming.
SPIKE
What the hell, maybe they’ll make it extra rare.
HARMONY
Can I go? Please!
GUNN
You keep your hands off my burger and anyone’s welcome.
(to Faith)
Do they do titanic burgers?
WILLOW
Oh! We should go to China town! They do an all you can eat for $12!
GUNN
Sold!
And so there they are. Wesley and Angel. The longest runners in the war against The Firm.
WESLEY
I can’t decide whether to join them or sleep for a week.
ANGEL
I think there’s a couple of other things we need to do first.
WESLEY
I think you’re right.
CUT TO.
EXT. GRAVEYARD – NIGHT.
Angel and Wes both stare down at a grave stone.

ANGEL
Hey Cordy. I think we done it.
WESLEY
We couldn’t have got this far without you… We didn’t bring flowers, we couldn’t agree on one’s you’d like.
ANGEL
We’ve got something better for you though.
MIX TO.
EXT. WOLFRAM & HART – NIGHT.
Angel and Wesley walk away in slow motion, smiling to each other as the building behind them explodes.
FADE TO BLACK.
