Hi All...

I've been pretty busy lately and very negligent in keeping up with the gang!

We've been getting some rooms ready around here. My aunt is coming for an extended visit. She is in the beginning stages of alzheimers and we're hoping she'll decide to stay with us permanently. Right now she's living alone in Florida, and we're getting increasingly worried about her. We have a large house which is quite empty now, so we're fixing up a bedroom and a den for her upstairs. That way she can still feel a little independent and we can be here to make sure she doesn't forget her medications, etc.

My kids are doing quite well. My son just bought his first home, about a mile from us, and my daughter and her family are still living 2 doors away, but are looking into buying a house further away (about 1/2 mile). I can't believe they'll both be living so far away from us!! LOL!!

I spoke with our captain about a week or so ago. She and Terry are very busy packing and clearing out their house as well as picking out EVERYTHING for their new condo! She's getting very excited and nervous about the big move.

Last but not least... HOW ABOUT THOSE PATRIOTS!!!!!!?? Was that the best superbowl ever?? This is a HUGE football loving family (mostly my husband's side). My father-in-law worked for the N.E. Patriots for 25 years (he started when they were the Boston Patriots), and therefore, the family comes by it naturally. After the game, My husband and son went to Boston for the big celebration. They had a great time!! Everyone in the family went dressed in something that had belonged to their father (he had an extensive wardrobe of Patriot's clothing). It was a great tip-of-the-hat to him. It's only a shame he wasn't around to enjoy it (although we all agree that he and his friends were up there somewhere orchestrating the whole game).

Well... that's all that's been going on up here. Hopefully, now that the painting is about finished I'll have more free time to get in here and visit!

Miss you all...
Linda
