Subject: St. Jo forecast: wind but no rain

Looks like we're in for a good riding day tomorrow up in St. Jo: the storm should have passed over, and the temperature will probably be moderate. The winds promise challenges on the outbound route and rewards on the inbound route--just the ticket, psychologically. Crosswinds might be tough, so we may want to try riding in an echelon. The tough climb is southbound, by the by--good news for folks who were worried about this part of the ride.

Of course there's a chance that we'll start our drive in the rain, but so what?

I'll check NOAA at 6 tomorrow morning; if, in spite of the forecast, St. Jo looks awful, I'll get with Scottie and we'll post notice of a cancellation. If nothing is posted, assume we're on--as I'm assuming, happily.

This moments ago from NOAA, re: St. Jo (Gainesville airport):

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 7am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 57. Windy, with a north northwest wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

C'mon out. Please drive to the school if possible; we'll arrange riders and rides there.
