Subject: Big Rick & Scottie Shock Peloton

After the thunder and lightning on Monday night, the CCC Tuesday night peloton delivered some fireworks of its own Tuesday evening.

The pace was casual and the large group chatty until Scottie put the hammer down on Main St in Lake Dallas on the way to Westlake Park. Dice went with him and took a pull. Big Rick pulled the train until the turn around and the group had a chance to catch their breath.

No rest for the weary, however, as the group flew down Shady Shores Blvd as gaps started to appear in the pack. Gentle Ben got to the front and took a big turn. Bypassing the Col de Shady Shores, Tornado Tom drove on the front like a madman as the peloton powered down Lakeshore Drive.

Big Rick came to the front and the group turned south and flew up Cowpattie Hill as the peloton shattered because of the relentless pace.

The remaining riders left to contest the sprint sipped from their drying bottles and prepared for the inevitable sprint down Corinth Parkway.

In a surprise move, Scottie and Big Rick attacked the stunned group 1 mile from the finish line. Working together and holding 30mph the compadres quickly had a gap of 100 meters. Juan Ulrich was able to get halfway across the gap but could get no closer. Rick and Scottie cross the finish line together with Big Rick taking home the win.

A great ride fellas and it was fun having such a big group.
