After reading this I called Scottie and bottom line is that he is ok - but sounds like it could have turned out much worse. I will let him fill in the details. When I called him he was on the way back from RBM after getting both bikes fixed and is planning on being there for the Sat. ride. I know we are all thankful for this.
We had talked a while back about trading cell phone numbers and I will be emailing mine to the Boss as he said he would put together a list that we could all program into our phones. I would encourage everyone to do the same - especially the Tuesday/Thursday riders because drops happen!
