Subject: God's plan for Florida Bible College

In a word: INFLUENCE
I do not claim to have all of the answers as to what God's will is for the future of Florida Bible College , but I do believe that I do have most of the pieces to the puzzle.
GOAL
Jesus is the head of Florida Bible College.
The Holy Spirit directs Florida Bible College.
We are all equal before God.
No one person is better than or more important than another.
Everyone is to take a part in FBC as a minister. Everyone is to give financially, prayerfully and everyone has a part and a voice in the work of Florida Bible College.
We restore and forgive our fallen.(2 Cor 2:6-8)
We are a missions minded school that sends out missionaries and supports missions(Acts 11,15)
We make decisions together.
We report the progress of the work (Acts 14:27).
We develop and use a written statement of purpose, and a statement of faith.(see www.floridabiblecollege.org)

Florida Bible College as a family of faith must find God's will and method.
"Be not weary in well doing" - 2 Thes 3:13

It is God's will for Florida Bible College to work together as a family of faith in cooperation to all work together as a living organism, to with team spirit in a group action within a well planned controlled situation, to motivate us as a family to meet the needs of the ministry in a way that reflects God's love and harmony as one unified body to meet our objective(s) with genuine Christian joy, to witness to the lost with the crystal clear gospel message to: disciple, mentor, influence, guide,teach new believers; equip the saints to go and do the work of the ministry; proplerly handle money and other resources, accomplish well established short term, intermediate and long term goals ; be trend setters that lead the way , visit the sick, shut-ins and or the elderly; preach train and equip qualified ministers for pulpit supply and men and women for ministry service, do the work of the ministry not just to receive a reward such as a paycheck but rather as a unified people who are influenced to work together to accomplish a desired purpose (which is to be determined by the entire group) as we work together in harmony to seek out the will of the Lord who is the one who leads us. In other words, to allow the group as a whole to select and accept goals , be given thoughtful and well planned written out clear expectations and objectives, and to place people into leadership positions within Florida Bible College to delegate and coordinate God's plan for Florida Bible College in the world. Our leadership comes from God.

THE PLAN - A PROCESS

Florida Bible College develops a plan.
The process is proactive. The plan assures that the future of Florida Bible College is not stagnant like it was for over seven years. We can as a family of faith no longer just stand still and do nothing.
We as a living organism must not let the sins of our leaders or Florida Bible Church get us off track from our plan and mission. God is our leader. We are driven first by God's plan for Florida Bible College, not by the strong natural leaders that God brings to lead Florida Bible College.We first follow God and his holy word. We only follow our leaders to the extent that they follow God and his plan for Florida Bible College.We as the Florida Bible College leaders are accountable for what happens to Florida Bible College and its sheep. We will do a better job in the future to be good stewards of the resources of Florida Bible College. We forgive each other when we sin, but we do not justify our sin. We do not allow for our shortcomings to get us off track from God's mission for Florida Bible College to the world.
We must ALL do the work of Florida Bible College. Anyone can criticize the leaders of Florida Bible College.We need workers not criticizers. Those who criticize but to not financially give to Florida Bible College and who are not proactively involved in the work of the ministry of Florida Bible College will not be given a hearing. All those who give and do the work will be given a fair voice.We will not censor those who disagree , and we will ask those who disagree to be ye kind one to another.
We all must share the work, vision and scarifice to do the work of the ministry of Florida Bible College. The vision includes the process. We must first start with baby steps and allow God to grow and bless the vision. We will not speak doubt about the vision because we as a family of faith believe God for great things for Florida Bible College. God can provide for Florida Bible College, debt free, and we will not allow for Florida Bible College to accumulate any debt in the future. We know that a lack of vision and solid biblicaly based leadership has kept Florida Bible College from being all that it can be. We know that a new vision will help Florida Bible College realize its best future potental. We must use what time that we have. We must not drown in our past failures. We must be trusted. We must have integrity. We must learn from our past mistakes and go forth to do the work of the ministry. We must develop a strong support system and build quality relationships with local churches. We must be a school of integrity that can be trusted. We must properly budget and administer finances, and we must do a better job of doing this in the future than we have in the past. We must live what we preach. We must be pure and moraly clean.We must not fight healthy change. We can achieve this by seeking to remain debt free, by being thrifty and frugal(like Mrs.Wendy Moses was), investing wisely,having wise buisinessmen on the FBCBOD, having good FBC buisiness managers and accountants, using biblical principles of finances and by starting an endowment.We must be flexible (what worked well in 1954 might not work today). We must also hold true to our methods of evangelism that we know work well and are timeless. We must be a school that takes a strong stand against sin, that rejects the false teaching of antinomianism ,easy believism(that you can just believe anything at all and still be saved), licenses to sin, and "lordship salvation".We can no longer allow the sins of our past to defeat us. The sins of our past leaders were not so bad that they have damaged Florida Bible College to the point where we must abandon our mission.God forbid!
We must establish new standards, we must establish strict guidelines for maintaining our assets. We must set goals and keep on going!We must take risks,be servants, develop others, lead by guiding not driving, love not dominate, seek growth for Florida Bible College not position, build up others not call them names like little children, but rather we must build them up as co-laborers in Christ to do the work of the ministry using our God given and Holy Spirit led spiritual gifts as a unified body of Christ.

Florida Bible College GOALS- direction
We need direction, and until last year we have been without any direction since around 1997. But as of December 14, 2004 all that changed.We must now aim for excellence.
Goals help us choose our work.Goals motivate us.
Goals give us measurement and a way for us to evaluate our progress. Our goals must be specific, contain objectives, be dated and written.We need direction.
The Plan:
At Florida Bible College our priority is to witness to the lost with the crystal clear gospel message, to lead them to saving faith, to teach them the Bible,to mentor and disciple them, to equip them to serve and worship Jesus, to show them how to develop a personal relation with Jesus Christ, and to properly equip them to do the work of the ministry.This is our strategy, our plan of action. We need to from time to time update it and evaluate it, and if needed revise it.

We must motivate people.
We must give each person a chance to make a contribution, to work together twards an end result, to work as a team with a healthy team spirit, to create goals together, to do actions that result in positive change, to recognize, notice good efforts, give credit, appreciation, say "thanks", show others how to sucsessfuly to the work, give clear written job descriptions, delegate tasks, give control of the task to the worker, show them we care, offer quality training, be good listeners, be positive, warm, encouraging, and use the right tools.
May the word of God never leave the halls of Florida Bible College.
