senses are the cowherdesses with whom he used to dance about in the
forests. O brother! Krishna is called Gobind because the mind, which he
represents, descended and got stuck in the senses. Go means sense and
Bind means tied down. Go also means cow and since Krishna tended cows,
he is called Gopal (cowherd).
