I was at a talk by Sister Priya on marriage and she was asked when you are ready to marry a person. She said when you feel joy in sacrificing for that person you can make a spiritual marriage.

Love sacrifices for the other and it is certainly what the guru does. Master said he was his students slave and the servent of all. Ramakrishna said God is in the power of his devotees due to their devotion.
