After following the teachings of Kriya Yoga for some time, a current arises and ecstacy is experienced in different areas of the body. In the throat is one of those places. When sadhana is done from this location, the heart and lower centers are clear and a particular very attractive penetrating sound is heard. One focuses from that location in the throat to the head area for meditation. Awareness then is extremely clear and blissful. One is said to be holding time (an aspect of mind in yoga) steady in the throat at this point. It is usually easier to meditate on the third eye from a higher center than a lower one as mind is not so strong, the effects of the Koshas are lessened.
