I don't see a close connection between the two, but others may disagree.

Kriya is a set of "psycho-physiological" practices compiled in the 19th century by the Vedantic yogi Lahiri Mahasaya. Its purpose probably is to achieve moksha, liberation.

Buddhism, as far as I know it, works with the mind in the first place, while Kriya works more with the body. It is a systematic, quasi-scientific effort.

The Buddhist approach to spirituality is a rational one, that of yoga generally is not. But the effects of Kriya are a matter of personal experience, not of adhering to a certain philosophy or faith.

If you want to find out in more detail how both may tie in, you have to study the correspondency and differences between Buddhism and Vedanta - a very old issue that has been debated for centuries.
