But in SRF you get 1, then 2 seperate, then 3 and 4 together. This is in the mail. There are no ceremonies for the higher kriyas in SRF.

Hence it seems likely there would be 3 ceremonies in YSS. ThisI gathered from the pictures on the Paramhansa Yogananda research center website.

As for the mantras for japa: Bimalananda recomends om guru or jai guru to be said all day. This is what he did. As I said, many years ago the crowd of kriyabansa was given the mantra om guru--spoken aloud to all. Must be there was a great demand for a personal mantra to be whispered in the ear. I will ask Anandamoy how it is done.

Somehow I suspect the mantra many YSS people receieve is Ram. It is short and powerful. It was also said to be Lahiri Mahasaya's favorite, though he was raised a Saivite. Achalananda said Lahiri's favorite scripture was Yoga Vasishta. The dialogue is between Vasishta and Rama.
