Subject: Have I Stayed Too Long At the "Llan" fair?

At this point I've lost interest in who killed Colin. This "spy vs. spy" stuff has gone on far too long for me. If Jen is ready to spill the beans to one more person AND DOESN'T I think I might go crazy and shoot my tv set! It's so convoluted and boring now.

I think the writing staff on this show sucks the big one. The big payoff's we can hardly wait for, are always so ultimately disappointing because they've worked them to the point of exhaustion. Thank goodness for my Tivo. I can scan through all the muck, which these days is thicker and thicker.

AND WHAT IS THIS WITH EVERYONE CONSTANTLY WALKING INTO OTHER PEOPLE'S HOMES UNANNOUNCED OR UNDETECTED?!? I just love/hate the way everyone just strolls into Asa's mansion, Llanfair or Dorian's ex-home. Where the heck are the security systems for the "creme de la creme" of Llanview society? This is a way overused contrivance that really ticks me off. And spare me anyone else getting locked in Asa's wine cellar... the only locked place in Llanview?????

And bringing back Vicki's alters???? OHHHHHH, cheap shot and BIG yawn! It's tired and has been worked to death. Newer viewers might get a kick out of it, but please spare those of us that are veteran viewers. We have lived through it probably as many times as the number of personalities Vicki manifests! Can't these awful writers think of anything new?

Todd's baby, Max's baby... ugh!!! There hasn't been a good baby plot on this show since Marco and Karen did the baby switch when Jenny's baby died. Ask me if I care... go ahead, I dare you. They're both jerks and neither deserve to raise any more children. They suck at it. And Blair deserves to be in the looney bin, if only for her bad taste in men.

Gabrielle and Asa marrying as a revenge plot against Max? Stupid. Although it's fun to see Fiona, an "old timer", back on the show, I always hated Gabrielle's whinning and crying. I hope they give her some brass one's this time around. I must say though, I think she looks great.

This show has had next to nothing new to offer in ages as far as I'm concerned. I like the majority of the actors and do not fault them. It's just bad writing, dumb plot lines, lack of continuity in characters, and ultimate disregard for those of us who have hung in there for soooo long with this sinking ship. It's no wonder this soap gets snubbed at awards time every year. It's more like "One Life to Kill". I wish TPTB could really turn this show around. It used to be so much fun!

Have I vented enough?

Oh yes... and losing Robin Strasser (Dorian) left this show minus one great actress who at least brought some panache to Llanview society. ABC could've tried to accomodate her when she had to relocate to the west coast in order to care for her ailing mother. I believe she even asked if they could find her a spot on the west coast taped General Hospital, and she was refused. Now she plays Hecuba, a witch, on Passions? I can hardly bare it. LOL.

I'm so tired of abductions and hidden cameras in secret rooms. Goodbye Gina (Lisa Pelosi's character) you worked my last nerve and I'm not sad to see you go. I can't wait to see you take the bridge!

I'm so close to ending 20 years of viewing OLTL. Maybe I have just stayed too long at the "Llan" fair!

As a 30 year viewer of OLTL, I have seen it all. Yes, what
Karen and Marco did for poor Jenny was great, but remember how Catrina felt when she found out the truth? OLTL started losing its luster in the early 1990's and has gone down hill ever since. There is too much incestous relations on the show (leave that to Reva on Guiding Light and Brooke on B&B) today. Where is Clint, Tina, Cord, CJ and Sara? If OLTL is going to age Al, remember, CJ was born a month or two before Al, and Sara is only a couple of years younger. This would really start to cement the future generations on OLTL. And Yes, I am so sick of Vicki's personalities. Give it a rest, we know Erica Slezack is a good actress. Also, when is RJ going to get a woman? Where is Carlotta, Hank, and Asa's other relatives? Remember, when the Buchanan's showed up in the early 1980's, Asa had a nephew (now on Day's of our Lives ) Drew Ralston, so where are the other relatives? Also, Asa is not getting any younger, and unless Cord is learning Buchanan enterprises, who is taking over in the future. Yes, I am venting, but OLTL use to be the BOMB, when it came to stories and characters.
