Subject: The Emmy Nomainations

You guys don't need to watch the Daytime Emmys this year since there is no one from oltl on the ballot. Most of the nominess are from as the world turns and all my children. If you watch those soaps, then by all means watch the emmys!
I think it's really dumb to nominate three people from the same soap in the same catorgory. What actor wants to run against their costars? They may all derserve it, but just pick one. Give the other shows a chance and add a little variety to the ballot. Everyone on oltl deserves to be nomainted!!!! They were all oustanding last year! Any thoughts on this?

I really can't think of one storyline on OLTL that would have deserved a nomination. Although I think there are some very talented actors on the show, they shined despite the writing, not because of it. It is ironic that OLTL is nominated for quality hairstyling!?! What!?! Do they call what they do to Rae, Viki, or Blair's hair a style? I am getting used to Blair, but liked it much better long.

Anyhow, maybe after a shutout this year, the writers will be "hungry" for some nominations next time and write some meaty stories. I hope.

I haven't seen the list of nominees yet, but I'm surprised some of the actors, especially Erika Slezak (she always gets nominated) didn't get a nod. Like you said, maybe TPTB will try harder now!!!

No one from OLTL was nominated because OLTL had one of its worst years in history. The Nora kidnapping story was ridiculous and un-watchable. Then we had the endless Max and "Pa" storyline from hell. Viki's cancer story was not well executed and we had to endure the Joey/Kevin/Kelly mess. GT is cleaning house and making this show enjoyable for the first time in years. Next year, OLTL will get its emmy nomination...you heard it here first.
