I hope Tong would not mind sharing with all of you.

Hello folks,

Congratulations to all of us that we¡¦ve achieved what we¡¦ve targeted!

I heard many times that Bryan said that the OC preparation was not too satisfactory and he used to send apologies to the walkers. To this point, I think the OC was too humble about herself! To be frank, what the OC done has already been one of the best of support teams that I have experienced. I felt your passion toward CityU. I felt your devotion to the activity. I felt your confidence in achieving the target. I felt your eagerness to give the best to the walkers. I felt your team spirit and trust among members. I felt the difficulties you faced with the bureaucracy of the University! I felt your limitation of resources, no matter it be personal, time, financial and numbers of volunteers! I felt your hardship toward pledging donation!

How could I challenge you when I saw the OC members spend their personal time for months in organizing the activity for us? How could I doubt your intention when I saw your enthusiasm in pledging donation from one table to another at the City Banquet? How could I give adverse comment when I saw how efficient you were for the display of photographs of the City Banquet in 1 day¡¦s time? How could I not be touched if I was served with personal care as well as breakfast, lunch, dinner and even night snacks with tasteful food and drinks from a group of persons that I ¡§am¡¨ not familiar with or even I ¡§don¡¦t¡¨ know (yes, I have to use present tense for the last phrase, it¡¦s still true at the time I write this email)? How could I be disappointed when we had an OC that responded timely and quickly to the comments of the walkers in various perspectives? How could I feel regretted in joining the Proud of 20 when I saw you carrying a walker sweat by sweat through several kilometers with steepness, with just a hope that he could go together with all of us at the last section of walk?

Don¡¦t be bother with any unreasonable comment (to take the words from the email of Bryan). Don¡¦t take it too seriously! Nothing in the world is perfect. We can¡¦t expect to please everyone. There is still some way to go before the OC can declare a full success. Be cheer up for the time to come!

I was not a very participative walker throughout the whole process. I contributed very little but I gained very much. My sincere thanks from the heart to all of you!

Tong

PS ¡V I don¡¦t know all of your OC members, so I can only send this email to those I know (even I am not sure if some addressees quoted above are OC members!).
