Dear Angie, and others,

Actually, you do not need to say so much sorry to all of us because we are all training and hiking hard for the same goal - to complete the trail in a group of at least 20 people. I think for those who have signed for the 50 km hiking and showed up have already been qualified to be selected as one of the Citywalkers because you are all brave, be ready to face the challenge ahead. Of course, we may encounter many unexpected things during the trail (just like our life) and it is important for us to handle those all smoothly. This event is aiming for each of us to care about the others, support each others and face every challenge together, and of course, to tackle them all.

The building up of Proud of 20 webpage as well as this forum is aimed for every one who cares about Proud of 20 to share, say, and ask whatever they want. Only with the keen participation of each of us in this forum will bring the hearts of us together. So, don't be shy and sorry to raise any question. I am tough in training all of you so that it seems that every one of us have become a tough guy but I think it is very important to have the basic fitness level to complete the 100 km trail and I am confident right now no matter who is chosen will be fit enough to finish the trail without any problem.

Be one of the training staff of the event, I have the responsibility to take care all of you and push you training hard to become fit. However, I cannot look after every person in the group so that I may sometime overlook on you. But I hope all of you will have open mind and open hearts to share between us, be brave to tell each others the difficutlies that you may encounter. I will do my best to help once I know your problem and question.

"Make the best preparation and expect for the worse situation happen". You all have done the best preparation for the event, but I think you are not doing it well for expecting the worse situation from happening. But we still have time to improve, we still have the time to open our hearts and know each others closely. Remember how hard we trained in the last few months? Don't all of you have a sad feeling if anyone of you cannot go together on the event day in November? I hope to see you all in November. I am ready to do my best to help you all along the trail during the event day, but you need to open yourself to let all of us to care each others.

Do not give up and we will be in the same good team with everyone of you! No one will be left!

Matthew
