Subject: Round 1 To Sort The Men From The Boys

Helensburgh play Wollongong to open the season on the Friday Night. The loser of this game will start the season at a disadvantage as this is a crucial two points for both teams. It will see how both sides have recruited and if either are a class above the other. Collegians will be espected to put a big score on Corrimal. The Cougars will know after the first 80 minutes of the season if they are contenders or pretenders. Wests and Dapto looks an even match. If either can put a big win over the other it will make other teams sit up and take notice. Port Kembla face a scary looking Thirroul before their rowdy mob. Will this be enough to get the Blacks home? They look at their weakest for 5 years. Uni escape scrutiny for one week but face Dapto and Thirroul in rounds 2 & 3 so they will also be staring at big losses if they don't improve on last year.
