I've seen a few trials this year so far and although trials don't give a true story of the year to follow, I think it is going to be one of the most competetive years in the local league. All teams have a story to tell:
Collies - more cash to thro around than Kerry Packer at the casino
Thirroul - same "band of brothers" putting in the yards
Port - not as strong as last year, but still competetive
Wests - the darkhorse with some new "miner" signings
Dapto - Back in the thick with a classy half/coach
Cougars - The most local of teams who want to play for each other
Helensburgh - Can't fault their commitment and they might just surprise a few
Wollongong - a renewed side from last year - Wessels to lead from the front
University - A new team with a new coach and perhaps a new lease on life.

Hows about rather than bag the shite out of one club or another, wait until the season unfolds and enjoy the quality of the league.I think some clubs will be a lot more competetive than some people on this site seem to think.
