There are three former multiple winners in the draw. Thirroul (1995, 2003, & 2004), Wests (1994 & 1999) and Uni (1996 & 1998).
Other former winners are Shellharbour and Colyton so there are 5 teams on board who know what it takes to take the cash.
A couple of sides such as Sydney Uni and Coogee have already had a run up at Coffs, so they should have some combinations working.
Victoria Uni were unlucky last year and could go all the way, as could Hibiscus Coast. Bob's claim they are in the strongest comp is probably not far off the mark.
The Islanders will all cause headaches with their ad-lib style of play.
Unlike previous years where a few teams entered 2 sides to get to 24, the 30 involved in 2005 are all fielding one team, with the exception of the Cook Islands so no one will be facing a reserve grade side.
Dark horses will include the likes of Port Kembla, Corrimal and Picton so it is really a lottery.
Some of the Sydney clubs are unknown quantities so it all points towards a great couple of days of action.
