His eyes widened as he watched her, how the water carressed her fantastic body. He attempted to wrench his eyes away from her but then... She started singing. Slowly, his eyes opened again and went back to peer at her. He brushed a branch out of his face and crept forward a little, unaware that he was doing so until the branch creaked dangerously. His shadowy wings flared to help him keep his balance unsuccessfully and with a sudden, loud crack he plunged head-first into the water, a few feet away from her. He spluttered back to the surface, his shadowy wings dematerializing and rematerializing like thick, wispy black smoke. As he remembered that the young woman was in the water, he quickly ducked back under, only his deep blue, shame filled eyes showing above the water. He made a small sound under the water that sounded as much like an apology as a bunch of bubbles and gurgles could. A deep blush appeared on his soot colored skin and he made a bit of a strangled noise as he turned and attempted to bolt out of the water, only succeeding in falling back into the water with a splash.
