App. 5'10" & 155lbs.

:typical personality:
Baraq is generally unlikable, but makes up for it with drive and arrogance. He can be incredibly stubborn, and when he sees a goal, little will stop him from obtaining it. He is smart under pressure and a characteristically smooth-talker. Baraq has troubles gaining and keeping friends. This is mostly due to his seemingly ruthless "stab-in-the-back and run" tendencies. However, Baraq is confident on-the-"job" (see history) and generally refuses to accept any praise from anybody at anytime. He has charm and can sometimes fool you into believing that he has class. Under the cover of arrogance and willful ambition, he is courageous and honest.

:history:
Jasser Nassir Kalb Al-Baraq (meaning, roughly, "fearless protector dog") was born and raised in Lebanon. He knew since the age of eight that he had the unique power to transform into a dog.. a dog that had the capability of being very fierce and very provocative. His mother accepted her son's "condition", while his father denounced it. At the age of 15, Baraq was kicked out of his family's household. However, despite this, he did not hate his parents, particularly his father, for the world he discovered was far better than the one he had been living in. He wrote letters to his mother, and sometimes his father, frequently. Traveling through India and on into China, Baraq discovered that he had a keen vampire-detecting sense. He soon found himself confronting vampires wherever he could find them, almost always in dog form. He prevented several vampire bites during his self-employment and encountered many dangerous, life-threatening situations. Despite this, Baraq was still very much unfulfilled. When he turned 25, the vampire-hunting shape-shifter transfered to Russia, where the current vampire population was exploding. It was here where Baraq nearly died while attempting to free a bevy of frantic school-children that was being held as prey by three very notorious vampires. Despite his efforts, the children were killed and Baraq was left battered and broken. He only narrowly escaped to safety after two vampire-slayers arrived on the scene. This almost ended his "career", but his stubbornless just wouldn't allow for that. Still sporting a limp, he moved back to China at the age of 30 before sailing to America and Cascade Mountains when he turned 33. Al-Baraq still to this day trades occasional letters with his parents in Lebanon, where he someday hopes to return.

:appearance as dog:
Al-Baraq's dog form is a medium-sized German Shepherd Dog. His coat colour is rich and dark, sporting little tan amidst the black. He has a powerful bark and an imposing presence. People have given this frightening-looking dog many nicknames, including Eyad ("possesses power"), Gahzi ("invader"), and Hashim ("destroyer"). However, elders have referred to the sometimes aloof and reserved dog as "Haroun" or "lofty" in Arabic.
