The Weave became distorted, darker....deadly. Not the gentle green of life, it became the color of twilight, a deepened shadow of twisted grey. The staff fell from nerveless fingers, the bow slung across her back forgotten. She had had no idea of what she faced, and now that it had showed it's face, she realized how very inadaquate her preparations had been. Deep green wings gone bladed, curling around her in an obstinate barrier of protection that would not yield willingly to any attack. She didn't even feel it when Wyrd knocked her to the ground, shielding her body with his own, a deep thrumming purr vibrating through his body, humming through her wings in a vocal challange to the one directly opposite. Curled into a ball beneath Wyrd's form, mind blankly trying to figure out a way to deal with this unexpected development. This was definately not what she had thought was after her.
