In reply to: Wyrd 's message, "Re: Testimony" on 21:34:06 05/01/02 Wed

Words whispered down through leaves that cast shadows everywhere, Wyrd's response echoing her own. Moving with a fluid grace to her feet, exhaustion dropped away like leaves on the breeze, wings flashing to bladed in an automatic defense. She would not be toyed with, but whoever or whatever it was that wished to talk could obviously move undetected. Words could yield a lot of information, and not just the ones spoken. The one speaking could tell far more than he or she meant, just by the way their body moved. The calm that hovered and drifted around her like a very thick fog caused her to slam up her sheilds, blocking it out so that the only emotions she felt where her own, and the shadowy ones that connected her to Wyrd in a bond she hadn't until then realized existed.

"Come out where I can see you. I trust no one that slinks through the shadows and speaks from darkness. Show me your face, and if you do not threaten me, I will return the courtesy. I will not strike the first blow, that will be for you, should you choose to attack."

Standing with her back to the tree, wings gouging out thin lines in the bark, she waits, Wyrd standing next to her, ready for whatever might appear from the darkness.
