Looking around for the voice she heard clearly, calling her by a name that her brother had used when referring to her, as if because of her youth and inexperience she was innocent, she spoke aloud to any who might hear. She knew that Immarra had also heard the voice, though she spoke no word.

"No dove am I, the purity that such a creature symbolizes does not define me, though sparrow or swallow might. What do you mean that we fulfill chaotic purposes? Is that supposed to be a riddle that I must solve?"

She had stopped, the half-elf beside her pausing when she did, head tilted to one side as she listened. Valenthe was weary of voices from nowhere, and shadows that held secrets. She would not move until Wyrd showed himself, it was time he came to her.
