 Sitting on the rock she listened to the strange creature in front of her speak to Valenthe. It was no surprise when Valenthe reached out a hand that trembled only slightly, as though she wasn't sure that she should do this, to touch Wyrd's muzzle, a silent decision to trust this creature. When Wyrd had mentioned vampires her ears had twitched and she paid close attention to his words.

"You say that you had a previous purpose, to hunt vampires, but now you say that you can guide and protect Valenthe and still be able to continue with your original purpose. Who were you bound to that you had taken such a purpose for your own? It is true that vampires roam here, a town not far from here has been preyed upon several times in the past few weeks, and the energy flows are rippling as though someone untrained was attempting something that they are not ready for. I find that I may have chosen to travel in a direction that is not good for the well-being of this Bard.

She fell silent, and wondered if perhaps she should return to lands she had traveled more frequently, with a greater margin of safety.
