Looking up at the arrival of another, hazel eyes widened at the percieved level of power that emanated from this man. She had been aware that someone with that kind of power was near, but she had shielded, more out of habit than neccessity, the energies weren't threatening, and she didn't think they would be unless the one wielding them felt it neccessary for them to become dangerous. She wasn't fool enough to attack, assuming that anything she did would even cause a dent in that blindingly white trenchcoat that would for an ordinary person have shouted, "Here I am, shoot me now!" On him though.... There was no mistaking him for a target, not unless you happened to be suicidal. Holding her hands up in a mirror of his gesture of peace she started to speak, her voice coming out a bare squeak of noise, and she tried again.

"Greetings Kyuusai, I'm called Immarra Silversong. I don't believe we've met before, I'm sure I would have remembered it. If I may ask, what can we three travelers do for you? Or are you merely passing through?"

Looking over at Valenthe she noted that the poor child seemed locked in a state of shock, coppery eyes wide, face slack of any other emotion. Finely shaped brows drew together in perplexity, had Valenthe met this man elsewhere, and why did she seem frozen in a state of disblief? Surely she could not be afraid of him? Humming softly to activate her gift, she sent a gentle wave of calming towards the girl, and saw with some relief color returning to her face, her eyes snapping back into focus. So may questions flickered at the edge of conscious thought, but they would wait and perhaps during the waiting she would learn answers to some, if not all of them.
