Shifting to a new position took a few moments, and she was pleasantly surprised when the deep slash didn't renew it's bleeding. Holding one hand over it but not touching it, she felt it closing, taking perhaps a tenth of the time it would have taken to close on it's own. Within a few hours it would be completely healed, sealing itself up from the inside out.

She caught Clowie's second cringe as the wolves howled a greeting. They were still a good distance away, the howls only showing their progress, and the howl was not like the one they used for hunting. That howl was more drawn out, and sent prickles of gooseflesh along even her arms when they sounded that call.

"What's wrong? It's only my friends, they're letting me know they're near. They won't hurt you, I promise."

Clowie didn't look convinced, but as long as she didn't turn tail and run away from them she would be fine. If she ran she would still be fine, they would assume she was playing with them since they would be warned that she was a pack-friend. She would not be harmed.
