You have granted me many things in life, both blessing and curse. Tonight, I ask you for both.

I sit here, quietly wrapped in the arms of my love and my life, a sketchbook in hand and this crinkled sheet of parchment. Not quite the ideal circumstance for asking such a great thing, but the best way that I know. Magus lies sleeping, his head against my shoulder. He tried to stay awake through these long hours of written script. Through times of history doubling back upon itself.

This takes too much of me. Too much of my love. I am a historian, but I am also a novelist. I do not wish to see what happens next in this ever unwinding story. There are those I care far too deeply for, who's parts will be painful to write. I ask that you let me write my happy endings now and let Zoltarra return to her histories.
