Mother do you hear me at night when I cry
Too many shadows in a place with dark skies

Tyrsis felt faint. The barrage of images continued, no simplicity to them as they wound about her and sent her staggering a step forward. Her hand fell upon Wyrd's back and with a slight grimace she realized he must see it too. She knew very few of those she saw, but each image came laced with a feel . Perhaps she had gained some of what Wyrd had taken from his former companions as well. Sensations became nauseating.

Two men stood facing one another, arguing heatedly over something she could not quite distinguish. Desperation and caution battled on uneven ground as both men's words sought purchase.

An expanse of water begining at her feet and reflecting dully the garnet of her wings, a glow beneath its surface as though sunlight were catching on bladed feathers and sending sparks and flame into its depths. Her face an indistinguishable blur and the movements unfamiliar. A sensation of remembrance.

Loss and memory twined about one another in a lover's embrace, caught in death's eyes as a woman turned, sword pivoting gracefully in her hands as she fought a non-existant opponent. A sense of determination. Children watched and mimiced, witnessing what they viewed as a game.

Two women, overlapping one another as they turned. Red and gold striking off of one another as they took carefully placed steps forward, separating. A third woman stood where their images had merged, golden and sad as she regarded a beautiful fountain who's surface Tyrsis could not quite see.

Hatred. Putrid and searing as it became engulfed in darkness, torn away in an image of storm clouds. A flicker of steel, or possibly silver. Bitterness. Cold bitterness. Blue eyes closing.

A woman, rainbow wings glimmering brightly in a world of black, on her knees in a silent prayer. Or perhaps prayer was an improper term for the emotions that raced across her. Golden eyes met prismed ones for a moment, and Tyrsis could almost think the woman recognized her. Ariel. That had been her name, the woman she had traveled with for such a short burst of time and then walked away feeling as though she had found a sister.

The first image made sense now and a thought trickled across the bond between herself and Wyrd. Wyrd knew where she was, or rather, knew where the demonlord was hidden.

Another image across her eyes, death on both ends and a choice in the matter. She looked to Wyrd, seeking his thoughts before the priests could make the remainder of their journey to greet them. "You see it too. What do you make of it?"

The last image faded as she spoke, flames consuming everything she had once known.
