Tiani's hand slipped from Jin's at the rush that moved to greet him, excited babble assailing from all sides. The appearance of the plumed thing only spooked her that much more and so she followed the path of any child, moving away while still trying to maintain sight of her friend.

It did not take long for a child to become lost in a city, and she was no exception, finally stopping to look around and realizing she was not even aware of what direction she had began in.
