Eyes closed with the pain of losing to a creature that had no soul. The wolfcub lay not far from where she was bound, a grisly reminder of what would happen should she actually manage to get free of the bindings she found herself in. Velkra slid out of the shadows, and picked up the lifeless body and began to eat, enjoying the free meal that had been left for him. When he finished he moved over to his helpless captive and looked down, the hundred or so eyes peering down mercilessly at her. He was going to enjoy having Crystin visit, especially if she continued to bring such delicious presents.
