"Yes." was all the creature said before he moved again, full gallop through the trees. Faster than any horse, and more fluid, so not to jar his mount.

Their destination was not far away, even as the trees past them in a blur of green and brown. He felt through her mind her distaste for magic, so used nothing of his innate abilities. He was pressed not to offend her. She was his new life, for the time being, until she had no longer any use for him.

Trees ceased, and the scene became grass, three feet tall. He parted through it as easily as though it weren't there.

Golden eyes sought out through the visible, and he saw the glinting of a magical barrier, and not far beyond it, a high, white castle.

There were almost there.
